Manchester United midfielder Angel Di Maria has been voted the best midfielder in the world at the moment.
The Sun asked Twitter followers to vote for their best current midfielder in world football and Di Maria topped the poll for the second time in as many days after being named player of the season so far in a similar poll yesterday.
The Argentine has had a dramatic impact on the United attack since he joined the side from Real Madrid in a £60 million deal over the summer and has played a big part in the side earning key points over the last few weeks.
In second place was Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas who leads the Premier League assists table this season and in third place was Barcelona legend Andres Iniesta, who has been one of the most consistent players for the Spanish giants over the last five years.
There’s an extra sweetness to this result for Manchester United fans because Di Maria also came ahead of Manchester City duo; David Silva and Yaya Toure, who came fourth and fifth in the poll respectively.
