West Bromwich Albion loan signing Silvestre Varela should be back in training with the club next week.
Baggies boss Alan Irvine has told the club’s official website that the 29-year-old should be back in England soon after he underwent a small operation.
“Silvestre has had a minor groin operation in Munich,” Irvine said. “Porto are happy and comfortable with it.
“We hope Silvestre will join us for training sometime next week.”
The Portuguese left-winger signed for West Brom for the season back in August, and at the time Irvine was excited about the player’s pace and power, along with the fact that he both scores and creates.
But West Brom fans have only see the player for 15 minutes thus far, in the Capital One Cup clash against Hull City where he still managed to provide an assist despite being on the pitch for so little time.
