Adryan scored last night in a huge win for the Leeds United under-21 team.
New Leeds United signing Adryan grabbed a goal for the club in a 6-0 win against Doncaster Rovers in the under-21 Premier League Cup game last night.
The Brazilian showed great composure, pace and control to send the ball into the bottom corner during the game as the Whites ran riot, which left academy boss Neil Redfearn purring over the team’s performance after the game.
This goal will only add to the pressure over current first team boss Darko Milanic, who has been reluctant to use Adryan in a starting role despite his impressive performances for the youth team.
Various reasons have been suggested as to why he’s not featured more for the first team, with Peter Lorimer suggesting last week that he’s being left to improve his match fitness in the youth ranks at Elland Road.
If he keeps adding goals like this in the under-21 side, it shouldn’t be too long before he’s given the chance to cause chaos in the senior side’s attack.
