A number of former Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United stars are currently in India preparing for the Indian Super League.
Robert Pires and Freddie Ljungberg may have been rivals of Luis Garcia when they all were playing in the Premier League, but in India they are 'friends'.
Former Arsenal duo Pires and Ljungberg and ex-Liverpool star Garcia will feature in the Indian Super League, which kicks off later this month.
The ISL is one of the two top-tier football leagues in India – the other being the I-League – and will feature eight franchise teams from all around the country. The league will run from October to December and is expected to boost the popularity of football in India.
Arsenal and France legend Pires will play for FC Goa, while former Sweden international Ljungberg will feature for Mumbai City. Garcia will turn out for Atletico de Kolkata.
It seems that the former Premier League stars have been bonding in India, as shown by the following photo, which also includes former Manchester United and Arsenal defender Mikael Silvestre, Juventus legends Alessandro Del Piero and David Trezeguet, ex-Liverpool star David James and World Cup winner Joan Capdevila.
