Jogi Low comments on Ozil performances, and Podolski's lack of football

German national team boss speaks on Arsenal duo.

German manager Jogi Low was at Stamford Bridge to see Chelsea beat Arsenal, and saw both Mesut Ozil and Lukas Podolski in action.

Neither players have had good starts to the season, Ozil inconsistent in form, and Podolski struggling to get on the pitch at all - only a late substitute away to Chelsea.

Low however is unconcerned, backing both players publicly, and says the form of Arsenal's number 10 is actually positive.

He is quoted by German channel Sport1: "Mesut is on the right track, he had recently really strong performances for Arsenal."

On Podolski, he added: "It is not easy, but he will master it - I'm quite sure."

Ozil's best performance came in the win over Galatasaray, and that is surely where Low is focusing on, and he has consistently backed his playmaker in public over the last 12 months.

Podolski has over 100 caps for Germany, but even he must know his place is at risk if he cannot get on the pitch - for he has not made a single start yet this season for the Gunners.

How long he can retain his place, depends on whether others can step up, and if they do, his case for inclusion becomes slimmer as each game he begins on the bench passes.
