Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin has been speaking to the Premier League’s official website about the start to his season.
The Spanish right-back has featured in the Champions League and the Capital One Cup so far and with Mathieu Debuchy side-lined and Calum Chambers a jack-of-all-trades, Bellerin may see considerably more game-time in the weeks and months to come.
He may only be 19, but huge things are expected of the Spaniard, whose lightening pace looks set to dazzle the Emirates Stadium for many years.
“I’m delighted because I’m getting my chances,” the Arsenal player said as he took time out from visiting a primary school in Islington where he talked about the importance of learning additional languages.
“I’ve been training with the first-team since the beginning of the season so obviously the only thing I can say is thanks to the players and the coaches. They are giving me the chance and have faith in me so that’s what I’m going to give back.
“I’m looking forward to playing more games and I’m really happy with the way this season has gone so far.”
Arsenal have a number of young players who now look ready for the first-team, and the future looks very bright, not just for Bellerin, but for the Gunners as a whole.
