Manchester United midfielder Daley Blind has been singing the praises of teammate Angel di Maria.
The Argentina international winger joined the Red Devils from Real Madrid in the summer transfer window for a British record fee of £59.7 million.
Di Maria has taken to the Premier League like a duck to water, scoring three goals and providing as many assists in five league appearances, leading Blind – who moved to United from Ajax for £14 million on transfer deadline day - to hail him.
Di Maria has arguably been the most impressive of United’s summer signings so far this season. The 26-year-old former Benfica star has created 16 chances for his teammates and has a passing accuracy of 81%.
During his four years at Madrid between 2010 and 2014, Di Maria established himself as one of the best players in the world. The Argentine is a versatile player who can play as a winger as well as an attacking midfielder.
A team player who is willing to adapt and accommodate his manager’s ideas, Di Maria will be a key player in United’s quest to finish in the top four of the Premier League and even win the title this season.
