A select round-up of the latest news relating to Manchester United

The reaction continues following Manchester United’s 2-1 win against Everton on Sunday.

Goals from Angel Di Maria and Radamel Falcao gave Louis van Gaal’s side the victory and after the match the Dutchman analysed the game with honesty.

In quotes published by ESPN, van Gaal said, “We have to play for 90 minutes. I am responsible for the team and I have tried to improve (the organisation) but I couldn’t do that (today).

“You can say I have failed in my tactics but I don’t agree it is always like that.”

United are developing a habit of playing well for half the match, but the trick now is to turn those into whole-match performances.

In other news, Falcao has said he wants to remain at United for a long time.

In an interview with MUTV, the Colombian said, “Me and my family are happy here and we would like to stay for many years at Manchester United.”

Having scored his first goal for his new loan club, many expect the floodgates to now open in the weeks and months ahead.

And finally, Wayne Rooney has become the first UK athlete to have 10million followers on Twitter.

As reported by Sport Review, the England international is now the fifth most followed footballer on the social network, although he has some way to go to match former United star Cristiano Ronaldo, who has 30.3million followers.
