The new games coming out for PS4 this week, headlined by Alien Isolation and DriveClub

There’s more big titles to coming to the PS4 library this week in amongst the indies, Here’s what’s new in the week commencing 6th October,

Alien: Isolation

Alien Isolation takes survival horror gameplay into space in a setting styled to have the look and feel of the original Alien movie with the alien you’re on the run from presenting an ever ominous threat. Play as Ellen Ripley’s daughter, Amanda aboard the Sevastopol space station as she sets out to find out the truth behind her mother’s disappearance.


A two button fighting game, that despite not using a stick has gained notoriety with fighting games fans for its ability to retain the strategy and spacing techniques that you’d expect from pro tournament fights.


Sony’s PS4 exclusive next gen racer makes its way to the console after long delays. Form clubs online with friends and earn rewards for your team while sharing in the fun of the race and immersing yourself in the shiny new depths of realism the come with the game. PlayStation Plus members can also try out a cut version of DriveClub for free.

Dust: An Elysian Tail

An 2D side-scrolling action RPG with some luscious artwork, An Elysian tail follows Dust who with his trusty sentient Blade of Ahrah sets forth on a mission to remember his past. Dust: An Elysian Tail makes its way to PS4 after originally being released on Xbox Live Arcade in 2012, this game is also free to PS plus subscribers this month.

Skylanders Trap Team

The latest title in the popular near field communication platform game series brings with it the Traptanium Portal allowing you to capture enemies in-game to fight on your side and a new line of Trap Master figurines to aid in the quest to capture all criminals Kaos has released from prison.

NBA 2K15

2K Games’ next gen basketball experience comes to PS4 with new levels of unprecedented realism and a sound track curated by Pharrell Williams. Take your MyPLAYER on the journey from rookie to the NBA hall of fame and play in Park Mode against the world’s best 2K ballers in multiplayer pick-up games.

Pix the Cat

Available as a digital cross-buy for PS4 and Vita, Pix the Cat offers up some intense arcade action that sees you rescuing ducklings from the Grid of Infinity. Build up speed and combos to trigger your Fever Time and play locally with friends in the Arena or challenge others online with the Ghost feature.


Another title free to Plus subscribers, Spelunky also comes as a three way cross-buy. Play as the spelunker, exploring a series of unique randomised levels on a mission to collect treasure whilst avoiding traps and nasty beasties. You can either play on your own or with up to three friends for co-operatively or in competitive deathmatches.

Styx: Master of Shadows

Cyanide Studios’ prequel to Of Orcs and Men brings some stealth gameplay with RPG elements set in a stylish dark fantasy universe. Play as Styx -the first Goblin - on mission to steal the heart of a World-Tree held inside the huge Tower of Akenash and learn more of the story of his origins as you go.

Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition

Square’s Triad themed open world adventure gets a remastering for PS4 and lands in Europe this week. Follow Wei Shen in contemporary Hong Kong as he engages in activities both legal and criminal, using the fighting, shooting and parkouring abilities at his disposal along with some slick gadgets to aid in combat and exploration.
