Jarvis, Poyet and more: West Ham stars react on Twitter to victory

West Ham Upton Park

West Ham United beat Queens Park Rangers 2-0 in Sunday and some of their players have reacted to the win.

West Ham United put the disappointment of the 2-1 defeat to Manchester United behind them, beating Queens Park Rangers 2-0 on Sunday.

An own-goal from Nedum Onuoha and yet another strike from summer signing Diafra Sakho gave the Hammers the win and sent them to seventh in the table in the process.

It was yet more disappointment for QPR, who go into the international break bottom of the pile and with plenty of work to do.  But things are certainly looking up for West Ham, whose new arrivals have gelled brilliantly with their more familiar stars.

After the match, goalkeeper Adrian hailed an "excellent team performance" and the fact that he kept his first clean-sheet of the season.

Substitute Diego Poyet - who shone at Old Trafford just over a week ago - wrote, "Big three points today; boys totally deserved it.

While Matt Jarvis, who came on for the last five minutes, said, "Great to be back out on the pitch today!  Another great result and performance from the team!"

Now the players move on to international matters, but Sam Allardyce will be hoping when they return to domestic action that West Ham can continue their outstanding start to what looks like being an excellent campaign at Upton Park.
