Chelsea fans react on Twitter to Fabregas performance against Arsenal

Stamford Bridge

Chelsea beat Arsenal 2-0 on Sunday, but what did Blues fans make of Cesc Fabregas's performance against his former side?

Chelsea continued their simply outstanding start to the new season by beating Arsenal 2-0 at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

Goals from Eden Hazard and Diego Costa gave Jose Mourinho's side the victory, but Cesc Fabregas also played a big part against his former club, providing a sublime assist for Costa to double Chelsea's lead late in the game.

Fabregas could also have given away a penalty when the ball struck his arm in the box, but the Gunners' appeals were waved away, leaving the Spaniard to influence the game at the opposite end of the field.

Fabregas added yet another assist to his collection, while playing two key passes and having an accuracy of 88.41 per cent - not bad given the high-octane feel of the match.  But he will no doubt be disappointed not to have had at least one goal-scoring attempt of his own.
