Writing in Manchester United's match-day programme ahead of their game against Everton, Louis van Gaal gave updates on eight of his injured stars.
The Dutchman revealed that Marouane Fellini is back in training (and was subsequently on the bench on Sunday) while Ashley Young, Michael Carrick, Chris Smalling and Phil Jones have all begun light training.
The United boss also revealed that Anderson was "progressing" while Jesse Lingard's protective knee brace had been removed as had Jonny Evans' protective boot.
In short it seemed the news was considerably brighter on the injury front after so many of the club's players had been struck down in recent weeks.
There was no further information regarding Ander Herrera - who fractured a rib in the match against West Ham United last weekend - but it appears a number of defenders could soon be back in contention for a starting spot, as could the much-missed Carrick.
