Manchester United youngster Tyler Blackett has revealed what manager Louis van Gaal told him after he was dismissed against Leicester City last month.
The 20-year-old defender was sent off in the Red Devils’ 5-3 defeat to Leicester at the King Power Stadium in the Premier League on September 21.
The young centre-back pulled down Jamie Vardy inside the United box in the 82nd minute and was promptly sent off, with Leonardo Ulloa slotting home the subsequent penalty to wrap up a stunning 5-3 victory for the Foxes.

Blackett has now stated the advice he was given by Van Gaal, telling the the club's matchday programme: ‘It is definitely something I can learn from.
'It was a heightening occasion and was something that I have to put in the back of my mind. It was disappointing for me because I got sent off, but also for the team as we didn't perform to our best.
‘The manager spoke to me afterwards and explained there were other options I could have chosen, rather than bringing the player down. It's definitely something I've learned from and will remember’.
Van Gaal seems to have been considerate with Blackett and understands that the age of 20 he is going to make mistakes.
It is really great of the United boss to have been patient and understanding in dealing with Blackett, who himself must have been disappointed to have been dismissed.
Blackett is highly rated by Van Gaal and is unlikely to have done his first-team chances much harm with his performance against Leicester.
