Leeds United striker Souleymane Doukara was not at his best against Sheffield Wednesday at Elland Road in the Championship on Sunday.
Darko Milanic is still seeking his first win as Leeds United manager following the 1-1 draw with Sheffield Wednesday in the Yorkshire derby on Saturday.
The Slovenian has been in charge of the Whites since last month and for three matches, but the team have yet to pick up a win.
On Saturday, Leeds had the chance to register their first victory under Milanic when they took on the Owls at Elland Road in the Championship.
However, it was Wednesday who took the lead through Chris Maguire in the opening minutes of the second half, but Giuseppe Bellusci rescued a point for the home team 11 minutes from full time.
Leeds, though, could have won the game had Souleymane Doukara been in better form. The 23-year-old started the match and was on the pitch for 68 minutes, but during that time he could have just one shot – and that was not even on target.
Position | Team | Goals | Total Shots | Shots on Target | Big Chance Missed | Total Pass | Accurate Pass | Touches | Appearances | Mins Played | |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Souleymane Doukara | FW | Leeds | 0 | 1 | 0 | 0 | 13 | 9 | 24 | 1 | 68 |
The summer signing from Catania did try his best against Wednesday, but he failed to reach the heights he had shown earlier in the season.
Position | Team | Goals | Total Shots | Shots on Target | Big Chance Missed | Total Pass | Accurate Pass | Touches | Appearances | Mins Played | |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Souleymane Doukara | FW | Leeds | 2 | 10 | 2 | 0 | 196 | 146 | 314 | 8 | 569 |
Failing to perform in one match should not put down Doukara, but Leeds’s failure to score is not something new.
In the last three league fixtures, the Whites have found the net just once. Milanic needs to sort that out during the two-week international break so that Leeds can start firing again when Championship action resumes in mid-October.
