Manchester United player ratings vs Everton - De Gea and Di Maria outstanding

Manchester United made it two wins in a row with a 2-1 victory over Everton, but how did Louis van Gaal's men fare individually?

David De Gea 9 - produced a great save to deny Leighton Baines from the penalty spot, then made three world class saves in quick succession to keep Everton at bay late on.

Rafael 8 - worked hard down the right hand side, contributing defensive and going forward, shackling Steven Pienaar and putting his foot in repeatedly.

Patrick McNair 7 - the rookie defender shone against West Ham last weekend, and whilst he got caught out by Romelu Lukaku a couple of times today, he still looked promising.

Marcos Rojo 7 - extremely confident with the ball at his feet, Rojo was called upon to start attacks from the back, whilst also impressing in the air too.

Luke Shaw 6 - substituted with just 20 minutes to play, Shaw made an ill-advised challenge on Tony Hibbert in the first half which led to the award of a penalty - though fortunately for Shaw, De Gea saved from Leighton Baines.

Daley Blind 7 - protected the defence well, tracked runners into wide areas and kept possession ticking over in an underrated role for the Red Devils

Antonio Valencia 6 - combined with Rafael well down the right in a combative role, shown by his six fouls and a booking, but didn't offer much going forward.

Angel Di Maria 9 - once again showed his class with a goal and assist in a dominant display. His speed and drive helps United transition from defence to attack in no time.

Juan Mata 7 - came in for the suspended Wayne Rooney and laid on the assist for Di Maria's goal, and made three key passes in a decent showing.

Radamel Falcao 7 - finally grabbed his first United goal and looked more like the player we saw at Atletico Madrid and Porto, displaying excellent movement even before hitting the back of the net, but only touched the ball 29 times. Can still be more influential.

Robin van Persie 6 - had only seven more touches than Falcao, yet five fewer shots. Still looks a yard off the pace and ponderous in front of goal.

Tyler Blackett 6 - came on for Shaw with 20 minutes to play, and kept things simple in a decent defensive display.

James Wilson and Marouane Fellaini also came on, but weren't on long enough to make an impact.
