Leeds United manager Darko Milanic has revealed that he did think of giving star summer signing Adryan a few minutes of action in the Yorkshire derby on Saturday.
The Brazilian wonderkid was caught on camera warming up during the second half of the Championship clash against Sheffield Wednesday at Elland Road.
However, the 20-year-old was not brought on, as the game ended in a 1-1 draw, with Milanic admitting that he did think of throwing the youngster into the action.
‘Close', Inside Futbol quotes him as telling BBC Sport when asked how close Adryan was to playing. 'He was here in my thoughts, I thought about it’.
Adryan joined Leeds on a season-long loan deal from Brazilian club Flamengo in the summer transfer window.
The 20-year-old playmaker is rated very highly and is said to be a future star. However, the youngster has yet to make his competitive debut for Leeds.
It seems that Leeds fans will have to wait until mid-October to watch Adryan in action. That’s because club football goes into a two-week hiatus after this weekend due to international football.
