Gary Lineker backs Manchester United star to ‘score bags of goals’

The Match of the Day presenter took to Twitter to praise Radamel Falcao and Angel di Maria.

Former England international striker Gary Lineker tweeted his belief that Radamel Falcao will set the Premier League alight this season during Manchester United's 2-1 win over Everton.

Falcao got in position to score on several occasions in the first half but repeatedly failed to find the net. Lineker, however, insisted that the Colombian frontman's goalscoring instinct will make him a success in English football.

Sure enough, Falcao paid off Lineker's faith in him, ghosting behind the Everton defence and netting the winner with a real poacher's effort in the 62nd minute.

The former Leicester and Tottenham striker took to Twitter again after the goal, smugly reminding his followers of his earlier prediction.

Lineker sang the praises of another of Manchester United summer signing, Angel di Maria. The Argentine has hit the ground running in the Premier League and was on top form against Everton, scoring one goal and setting up another.
