Gerard Deulofeu had a day to remember in La Liga as he helped Sevilla to a crushing 4-1 win.
The 20-year-old provided two assists in a victory over Deportivo, in which former QPR midfielder Stephane Mbia scored twice.
He provided three assists for the Toffees, but now on loan at Sevilla, he has topped that figure already.
In all competitions he has played five games for Sevilla, creating four goals in total.
The Metro reported last month that Everton were monitoring Deulofeu's situation at Sevilla with a view to a January enquiry, after report surfaced suggesting Barcelona were initially unhappy with his playing time out on loan.
He has since stepped up in a way to show he deserves to be a regular starter, and it's unlikely his parent club will now interfere with him in such sizzling form.
All of which will be disappointing to Everton fans, who have seen their side win only one game in the Premier League.
If this is truly Deulofeu's breakout season, they will be wishing they had secured his services for at least one extra year.
