Arsenal's Mesut Ozil has been backed to shine by former star Emmanuel Petit.
The Frenchman, who also went onto play for Chelsea, believes the German can use the clash at Stamford Bridge as a breakout game.
Ozil has come under fire for a below par 2014, but the game against Galatasaray in midweek suggested he is improving and hitting form.
He missed the 6-0 defeat away to Chelsea with injury a year ago, and this is a high profile opportunity to show he can be the difference maker he was billed to be.
Petit told The Mirror: “It is a good chance for him to show what he can do.
“He is a good player – a very good player. He has proved that. But, if Arsenal are to win, their passing game will be the key and Ozil can use this occasion to show just how talented he is."
Ozil will come up against his former Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho, who has never lost a game to opposing manager Arsene Wenger.
While Petit feels Ozil can shine, he also picked out two other top stars who can threaten the Blues.
"I also like Alexis Sanchez. He has been a great signing, as has Danny Welbeck."
Sanchez and Welbeck combined to hit all four goals in the 4-1 win in midweek, and the Gunners will feel they have enough attacking threat now, to not put all the pressure on Ozil, and this may just be the key in helping him flourish.
