It would be fair to say that Cameroonian midfielder Stephane M'Bia never truly made an impact on the Premier League.
The versatile powerhouse arrived at QPR as one of several marquee arrivals in the summer of 2012, with Joey Barton going the other way as part of the deal.
He was a flop at Loftus Rad, of that there is no doubt and did not endear himself to fans during that period either. He was sent off for a silly altercation with Thomas Vermaelen while he also Tweeted Joey Barton asking if he wanted to swap back - which left QPR fans furious.
So last summer he was loaned out to Spanish side Sevilla and proved a hit. He was a pivotal part of the team that won the Europa League - proving the hero in the semi-final all La Liga clash with Valencia. He even made it into the Europa League team of the tournament.
His contract at QPR was rescinded this summer and he was tentatively linked with moves to Liverpool and Arsenal - but in the end he returned to Seville.
And what a return it has been.
He has started the new season with a bang, scoring twice today against Deportivo La Coruna to take his tally for the season to an impressive five goals n six games, for a player most recognised as a defensive midfielder.
As QPR got turned over by West Ham this evening, perhaps they would take M'Bia back now.
