This weekend Arsenal take on Chelsea in a London derby at Stamford Bridge, aiming to exorcise the demons of last season's corresponding fixture when they were thrashed by The Blues 6-0 in a very entertaining game.
One player who has not featured in this fixture before however is Thibaut Courtois. The Belgian goalkeeper spent the last three seasons on loan at Atletico Madrid and went on to become the best player in La Liga with his extraordinary performances.
He is now the number one at Chelsea, forcing long term incumbent Petr Cech to the bench.
For Courtois it has been a long time coming for him to play in games of this magnitude for his parent club. He has of course played in the odd Madrid derby but for Courtois he admits that these fixtures were a dream for him as a little boy.
He told Chelsea's official website:
"There are a lot of teams in London and all these games are important as you can prove you are the best team in London, and that is always nice for the supporters to be able to say that - so we will do our best to win these games.
"Of course derbies are always special, Arsenal are a really top team and when you are a small boy you dream to play these games. If you play in them you can enjoy them a lot and hopefully we have a lovely Sunday afternoon."
Chelsea fans will hope he gives them a 'lovely Sunday afternoon' by keeping a clean sheet against Arsenal tomorrow.
