Plenty of players came in at Manchester United this summer, and plenty also went out - including winger Nani.
The Portuguese international has left the club on loan for the season. He has left United to join former club Sporting Lisbon on loan for the season as part of the deal that brought Marcos Rojo to the club - and United are even supplementing his wages to the handsome fee of £4.8 million. That's right, United have paid to get rid of him. Clearly Louis van Gaal was not a fan.
Sporting fans however were exultant with the return of a prodigal son, and they swarmed around the player upon his return to the Jose Alvalade this summer.
Things did not start well for Nani at the club. He missed a penalty on his debut, which did not immediately endear himself to his fans.
But they kept faith, which certainly worked out well. He has now scored three goals in six goals for the club, including the fourth in a comfortable win for Sporting Lisbon last night.
They defeated Penafiel 4-0 thanks to goals from Islam Slimani, who bagged a brace, and Fredy Montero before Nani finished in the 85th minute with a cool chip from an acute angle.
He certainly seems to be enjoying his football again and in Angel Di Maria Manchester United have a fairly decent replacement.
Everyone's a winner, except United's bank balance that is.
