The Owls goalkeeper produced a sensational performance in the 1-1 draw at Elland Road.
It was a typically fiery Yorkshire derby on Saturday afternoon, as Wednesday left Elland Road with a hard-earned point.
There were goals, bookings, off-the-ball arguments, tough tackles and vivid celebrations. The usual, then, really...
But what Sheffield Wednesday fans were most grateful for were a number of fantastic saves from goalkeeper Kieren Westwood. Indeed, the former Sunderland goalkeeper was undoubtedly the main reason the Owls were able to leave Leeds with a point.
Wednesday took the lead but, either side of their goal, Westwood made terrific stops to deny the likes of Rudy Austin, Mirco Antenucci and more. In the end, he was only beaten after Giuseppe Bellusci's shot took an unfortunate deflection off Jose Semedo.
Will the Black Cats now regret letting the 29-year-old go? The performances of Vito Mannone would suggest otherwise - but there is still no doubting Westwood's value to the Sheffield side.
Indeed, after the Yorkshire derby, many Wednesday fans took to Twitter to boast that their goalkeeper is the best in the Championship. Perhaps Leeds United fans may disagree, with Marco Silvestri one of the stars of the division so far this season.
Today, though, the Irishman was the top stopper at Elland Road. Sunderland may have let him leave the Premier League - but Westwood is most certainly proving his worth in the second tier. Here are the best reactions on social media from Sheffield Wednesday supporters!

#swfc MOTM Westwood, Madine good(!), Maghoma and Maguire dire in the first half but much better as it went on. Too little creativity tho..— Steve Turner (@Majortarantino) October 4, 2014
