Leeds United boss Darko Milanic believes that the inclusion of Brazilian midfielder Adryan makes his team better.
The 20-year-old midfielder moved to Elland Road on a one-year loan deal from Brazilian club Flamengo after owner Massimo Cellino negotiated a deal to terminate his loan spell at Italian side Cagliari.
Despite the excitement and initial buzz in Yorkshire over his arrival, Adryan has yet to make an appearance for the Whites with fans, with some questioning his exclusion.
New boss Milanic, however, has hinted that his involvement in the first team is imminent and went on to claim that his side is better with him involved.
“He’s selected and we are 19 players at the moment. For me it’s extremely difficult to say after one week but he has a lot of potential.” He said, quoted by the Yorkshire Evening Post.
“He understands the game, he makes the team better and he’s able to do good things in offensive midfield.”
Milanic will be hoping to claim his first three points as Leeds boss on Saturday as they take on Yorkshire rivals Sheffield Wednesday at Elland Road.
The hosts will be looking at avenge that 6-0 drubbing at Hillsborough last season, although the visitors go into the game with the tightest defence in the league having conceded just seven goals.
With the game expected to be a tight affair, a moment of magic might be what settles the sides and what better opportunity for Adryan to mark his Leeds debut with a moment of decisiveness.
The Brazilian arrives with a reputation as a skillful number 10 and his comparisons with former Ballon d´Or winner Kaka will only add to expectations ahead of his upcoming debut.
