Former Manchester United and Liverpool striker Michael Owen believes that the Premier League clash between Tottenham Hotspur and Southampton will end in a draw.
‘Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino takes on his old club and this has draw written all over it for me despite the fact that Spurs have won all four of the PL games between the sides since the Saints marched back into the top-flight of English football’, the ex-England international wrote on Betvictor.com.
Spurs will host the Saints at White Hart Lane on Sunday and will be expected to win. It will be the first time that Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino will face his former club since leaving St. Mary’s Stadium at the end of last season.
The North London outfit started the 2014-15 season brilliantly, but they are struggling at the moment. Tottenham are without a win in their last four Premier League matches and have lost their last two home matches.
However, Spurs have won all four matches against Southampton since the Saints’ return to the English top flight, although may not be the result on Sunday as the visitors are in a great run of form at the moment.
Under Ronald Koeman, the Southampton players have renewed confidence and are currently just three points behind league leaders Chelsea.
Winning at White Hart Lane will not be easy for Koeman’s side, but a draw will still count as a great result for the visitors.
