Jose Mourinho’s side have picked up 16 points from six matches, while Arsenal are six points behind them. A defeat for Arsene Wenger’s side could just about end their hopes of winning the Premier League title for the first time since 2004, but in Danny Welbeck they have a striker who is high on confidence.
The England international scored a brilliant hat-trick against Galatasaray at the Emirates Stadium in the Champions League on Wednesday, and Arsenal legend Martin Keown believes that the head-to-head between him and Diego Costa on Sunday will be ‘interesting’.
‘I think the most interesting aspect of the game will be the two form strikers going head to head’, he told the Daily Mail. ‘Diego Costa is everybody’s favourite at the minute and now Danny Welbeck is a very interesting prospect...
‘The game against Galatasaray was Arsenal’s best performance so far this season, but the opposition was not the best. Arsenal look good going forward but the question now is can they cope defensively with what will be a stern examination by Chelsea...
‘I don’t think Wenger will change his attacking mentality, even with Chelsea in excellent form. It will be a massive game and hopefully a lot closer than last time! But Arsenal will be doing everything they can to close that gap on the leaders. I can’t wait’.

Diego Costa has been the best player in the Premier League so far this season and seems to score at will.
A proven world-class striker, the Spain international will certainly be a menace to the Arsenal defenders, who have not looked very comfortable or confident this campaign.
However, the Chelsea defence will not be very happy to face Welbeck either. The former Manchester United striker seems to have found his scoring touch at Arsenal and could damage the Blues at the Bridge.
