Aston Villa player Jack Grealish has come a long way in a very short space of time, and to remind us just how swiftly he has risen through the ranks at Villa Park, the 19-year-old posted a video and a message on his official Twitter account in the build-up to the match against Manchester City.
Just a year ago, the Villa player was netting a hat-trick for the side's under-18s against their Bolton Wanderers counterparts. But now he has broken into the Villa first-team and is being hailed as the brightest talent to come through their ranks for many a season.
Quite rightly Paul Lambert is not rushing Grealish, using him sparingly but making it very clear that he is now very much a first-team star. But the big thing is ensuring Villa tie him to a new long-term deal, with his current contract expiring next summer.
And then...well, perhaps he will ultimately net a hat-trick or two for the senior side just as he used to do for the under-18s.
