Swansea City will look to recapture their early season form when a beleaguered Alan Pardew takes his Newcastle United side to South Wales.
Garry Monk's side won their first three games of the season, earning plenty of plaudits along the way, but a defeat to Chelsea in their fourth game of the campaign seems to have halted their momentum. Southampton came to the Liberty Stadium and left with a 1-0 win, whilst they stumbled to a 0-0 draw against Sunderland last weekend following Angel Rangel's red card.
Rangel's absence today means a start for Ashley Richards a right back, whilst Jonjo Shelvey starts following his call-up to the England squad, though team mates Nathan Dyer and Wayne Routledge once again missed out on Roy Hodgson's squad.
Meanwhile, Newcastle United are once again in turmoil. Manager Alan Pardew is under increasing pressure after the Magpies' dreadful start to the season, which has seen them draw three and lose three of their opening six games - leaving them winless as we enter the third month of the campaign.
Pardew has watched on as new signings Remy Cabella and Emmanuel Riviere have disappointed, but now he's dropped the two Frenchman, choosing to play Papiss Cisse up front on his own with Gabriel Obertan and Yoann Gouffran flanking him in attack.
