Chelsea have been linked with a move for Ipswich Town's Tyrone Mings.
The full-back's dad is Adie Mings, a Chelsea scout, and The Sun report the club are 'keeping tabs' on the prospect.
The left-back has made nine starts for Ipswich this season, and is rated by whoscored.com as statistically the club's second best performer.
He has one assist to his name, and would add depth to Chelsea's ranks behind Cesar Azpilicueta and Filipe Luis.
Ryan Bertrand is out on loan at Southampton, and should that move be made permanent, a switch for Mings could make sense in terms of adding one young English prospect to replace another.
Mings signed a new contract with Ipswich just a fortnight ago, extending his current deal until 2017.
His Ipswich side face early Championship pace-setters Nottingham Forest today.
