Sheffield Wednesday boss confirms loan deals readied, awaiting green light

Sheffield Wednesday manager confirms he is working on loan deals to strengthen the side.

Sheffield Wednesday manager Stuart Gray says the club are working behind the scenes attempting to bring in players on loan.

He said yesterday he does not expect any additions before the international break, but enquiries are in and all he needs is the approval of the respective Premier League teams.

At his press conference, he said: "After the international break that's when they'll happen.

"Our calls are out there, we're just waiting on parent clubs to give us the green light."

Gray went onto hint it could be attacking players he wanted to bring in, which makes sense given the return of defenders Sam Hutchinson and Tom Lees.

Wednesday have scored only 10 goals in 10 games this season in the Championship, having hit six past this weekend's opponents Leeds in just one game when they last met.
