Mauricio Pochettino believes that every one of the senior goalkeepers at White Hart Lane are 'top-class'.
The Tottenham Hotspur boss is clearly very impressed by the likes of Hugo Lloris, Michel Vorm and Brad Friedel since arriving at the club this summer and he moved to praise the trio last night.
"It is important to have a goalkeeper like him or Michel Vorm or Brad Friedel, they have a lot of experience and they are top class," he said to the Daily Mail.
Last night it was Lloris who wore the shirt and the Frenchman did not disappoint.
Spurs took on Besiktas in the Europa League and picked up a 1-1 draw, but they had their goalkeeper to thank for what could be a valuable point.
Lloris made a number of brilliant saves to thwart the Turkish side's attack and was only beaten in the dying stages when Demba Ba slotted a penalty beyond him.
It was a display which meant Spurs avoided what would have been a deflating defeat and Pochettino did acknowledge the performance of his stopper.
"He produced two or three big saves," he said, "and I liked their goalkeeper because he produced two big saves too. It was 1-0 and if we scored the second goal, then we kill the game."
"When the game is open and they have the opportunity, they have the chance and we let them open the game, but it is okay. It is football and we need to accept that."
Despite the apparent competition in Spurs' goalkeeping ranks, last night's performance was a display of why Lloris holds the number one shirt at Tottenham.
The French international is considered one of the finest players in his position in the world and he is the star-turn in this current Lilywhites squad.
Indeed, even Besiktas manager Slavan Billic admitted that Lloris' was 'one of the best' and his Tottenham teammates will be thanking him from sparing their blushes in last night's fixture today.
