Paul Merson predicts a big Liverpool win v West Brom - here's why

Paul Merson

The Sky Sports pundit thinks change is around the corner for the Reds.

Paul Merson believes Liverpool will get back to winning ways this weekend, predicting a 3-0 win against West Brom.

The Sky Sports pundit feels the Baggies were poor enough against Everton a couple of weeks ago to warrant panic.

The Reds, meanwhile, 'haven't become a bad team overnight,' according to Merson.

As such, the former Arsenal midfielder thinks Brendan Rodgers' side will register an overdue win against Alan Irvine's men with no problems at Anfield.

"I watched West Brom against Everton and I thought they were in big trouble, so if you’d told me they would win three games in a week I would have laughed," Merson wrote in his weekly Sky Sports predictions column.

"All of a sudden they won away at Spurs, won in the cup and beat Burnley 4-0. It’s weird! I’m doing this game on Soccer Saturday and I just can’t see that run carrying on.

"Liverpool haven’t become a bad team overnight and sooner or later they just need to get a break, score an early goal and they will be alright. This could be the game."

The game takes place tomorrow at 3pm, with the Reds having drawn their last Premier League clash with Everton, while West Brom beat Burnley at the Hawthorns.
