The latest trailer for Monolith's Shadow of Mordor shows you should make sure that orc's dead after your fight with it.
Shadow of Mordor is a third-person, open-world action game set in the Lord of the Rings universe. As the Ranger Talion players must avenge their wife and son's deaths, as well as their own.
The game uses the Nemesis System, a feature which procedurally generates all enemies within the world, meaning each playthrough is unique. This system also allows enemies to remember you and your actions, which will forge the relationship between you as time goes by.
Take a look at the trailer below, it shows off the Nemesis system from the perspective of an orc. Basically, if you have beef with an orc and it lives after an encounter with you, expect him to remember and no doubt be more powerful the next time you tango.
This weekend there's also a Shadow of Mordor Test of Power Challenge Mode, which will rank players on the Challenge Leaderboard. From today at 5pm BST until Sunday 5am BST, players can attempt to take out an 'exclusive Legion of Sauron's forces.'
There's also a companion app available, the Palantir App, available on iTunes. It syncs with your game as you play, and shows off stats and other information.
