Marco Silvestri has certainly impressed since joining Leeds United this summer.
Leeds United have done plenty of transfer business this summer, with a lot of it taken place in the home country of their owner Massimo Cellino.
They have recruited no fewer than eight players from Italian clubs this summer including the likes of Mirco Antenucci, Giuseppe Bellusci and Tomasso Bianchi.
But perhaps the most impressive of them all has been goalkeeper Marco Silvestri.
Signed from Chievo for a £450,000 transfer fee Silvestri is an Italian under-21 international from his time on loan at Reggiana - so his pedigree was known before he arrived at Elland Road.
But nobody could have foreseen just how impressive he was going to be. Last weekend he was the star against Brentford as The Bees almost ran away with a romping victory, and he shut-out Reading in midweek.
Those performances have not gone unnoticed by Leeds fans, with one fan-site on Twitter overwhelmingly voting him as their Player of the Month for September.
RightintheGaryKellys ran a poll to their almost 10,000 followers today to ask who they felt was POTM - with 92% voting Silvestri as their favourite player in September.
The result even got it's own seal of approval, as Silvestri himself retweeted the announcement.
Leeds take on Sheffield Wednesday in a local derby in tomorrow's early kick-off. Last season the Owls put five on their Yorkshire rivals, so Silvestri will once again have to be in top form for Leeds.
With the faith the fans have in him, they will not be worried about that.
