Besiktas striker Demba Ba scored a late equaliser against Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League on Thursday, but it did not come as a surprise to Lord Sugar.
The ex-Tottenham chairman was watched the Group C game and ‘knew’ that the former Chelsea striker would score against Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
Hugo another great save and Ba misses . I am sure he will score against us he always does.— Lord Sugar (@Lord_Sugar) October 2, 2014
Spurs drew first blood at White Hart Lane when Harry Kane shot home past Besiktas goalkeeper Tolga Zengin.
The Turkish giants did not give up against the North London outfit and continued to press forward, eventually equalising in the 89th minute.
Vlad Chiriches handled the ball inside the Tottenham penalty box, and Ba made no mistake in slotting it home from 12 yards. It was the 29-year-old’s fifth goal in six appearances against Spurs.
We have given it away again same as we did at Sunderland— Lord Sugar (@Lord_Sugar) October 2, 2014
The result leaves Tottenham third in Group C with two points from as many matches, level on points with Besiktas. Asteras Tripolis lead the group with four points, while Partizan Belgrade are at the foot with just a point.
