Nathaniel Chalobah has admitted his disappointment at missing out on Premier League action for Burnley at the weekend.
The Chelsea-owned teenager, who can play both as a midfielder and a defender, suffered a kick in the throat during an Under-21 match on Tuesday.
Chalobah will sit out Burnley’s match against the Foxes and is understandably dejected, taking to social networking site Twitter to express his disappointment.
Thanks for all the tweets wishing me well. Disappointed to be missing games for Burnley and England, fingers crossed for a quick recovery— Nathaniel Chalobah (@chalobah) October 2, 2014
Chalobah joined Burnley on loan from Chelsea on transfer deadline day until January 2015. He had made just one appearance in the Premier League so far this season, and his latest injury will certainly come as a blow to him.
