Besiktas manager Slaven Bilic believes that no side can be considered favourites against Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane.
Slaven Bilic says that not even Manchester United go to White Hart Lane as favourites to win.
The Besiktas manager saw his side grab a 1-1 draw against Tottenham Hotspur last night and he says that he cannot be disappointed by the result.
Although the Turkish team dominated the game, Bilic was not too down about missing out on the three points because he feels that every side that plays at Spurs' home ground are underdogs.
"I don't want to sound big-headed but for every team that comes to White Hart Lane and takes a point, it is a good point," he said to the Daily Mail. "No matter what the team is, Manchester United, Besiktas, whatever - nobody is favourite here apart from Tottenham."
"The only thing I am not happy with is the result because we dominated from the first minute."
"We were basically excellent apart from the chances that we created but didn't score and it was so frustrating to go in at half-time 1-0 down."
"We were so good that I told them 'don't lose your head, just keep passing, keep passing, keep passing. It will come' - and then it came."
Besiktas could consider themselves very unlucky not to have picked up the win in North London last night.
They were the better team for large parts of the match, but came up against an inspired Hugo Lloris in between the Spurs goal.
It took a late penalty from Demba Ba to beat the Frenchman who was in fine form and has established himself as one of the finest goalkeepers in Europe.
Spurs may not have started this season brilliantly, but they would be in an even worse position without their French 'keeper.
White Hart Lane has not been a fortress this campaign, with Liverpool and West Bromwich Albion both winning there, but it clearly still carries a reputation and Spurs will be looking to become more dominant in-front of their own fans as the season progresses.
