A look at Yannick Sagbo's debut for Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Wolves suffered a nightmare result against Huddersfield on Wednesday night, conceding as many goals in one game as they had prior to last weekend.

The 3-1 defeat was the second time they had conceded three goals in a matter of days, nine in the Championship in total this season.

Also underwhelming was the performance of new striker Yannick Sagbo, who had signed on loan from Hull City only one day earlier.

The Frenchman went straight into the starting line up, but lasted only 55 minutes before being substituted.

Clearly not at full fitness; he had not played in any Premier League games for Hull this season, Sagbo managed two shots but failed to register either on target.

He also did not create any goalscoring opportunities for teammates, and Wolves only netted their consolation through Bakary Sako after he was substituted.

It's obviously too early to criticise the striker, but what is clear is that this is a move which is not an instant win for Wolves.

Sagbo will need a little time to get up to speed, and it may not be a surprise to see him start on the bench against Wigan Athletic this coming weekend.
