Liverpool came out on top ahead of many suitors in the chase to sign the talented Spaniard forward Iago Aspas last summer. They ended up paying Celta Vigo a fee in the region of £7.7 million for his services in June 2013 but Aspas struggled in his debut England term.
The physical nature of English football did not agree with Aspas who only managed 15 games and one goal for Liverpool last term before being shipped out on loan to Sevilla this campaign.
And Aspas has now matched the amount of goals he scored for Liverpool with his new club.
Last night Sevilla were in action against Croatian side Rijeka and Aspas opened the scoring for the away side.
He smashed home a left-footed strike 26 minutes into the game as it looked like Sevilla were on their way to a comfortable win.
Aspas certainly never showed any of this talent during what was a struggle of a season at Anfield in 2013-14 but he has certainly started to endear himself to his new fans with this strike.
However it was not enough for victory. Sevilla went down to ten men just after half-time and ended up coming away with just one point, from a 2-2 draw with the Croatian outfit.
Aspas will hope his next goal comes with a win.
