Here is our round up of the latest under-21 Premier League games.
Saturday September 27
The only game that took place last weekend was Chelsea’s trip to Leicester City which ended in a 1-1 draw. The Blues may well have had one eye on the UEFA Youth League as they dropped rare points away from home.
Monday September 29
Adnan Januzaj was in fine form once again for Manchester United, grabbing another goal in Manchester United’s 2-1 win over Spurs to go with his hat-trick against Sunderland.
Aston Villa were the most impressive winners last Monday with a 3-0 win over Bolton Wanderers and there were also victories for Reading, West Ham, Middlesbrough and Southampton.
Wolves and Brighton shared the points in a 1-1 draw.
Manchester United and Chelsea share the lead in division one of the under-21 Premier League with United ahead on goal difference.
Manchester City and Fulham are their closest challengers, with both sides on eight points.
Leicester are the only side without a win in division one, as they remain rooted to the bottom of the table.
Middlesbrough have gone above Newcastle United and Arsenal into first place in division two although Newcastle have a game in hand and are yet to be beaten in the competition so far this season.
Wolves, Stoke, Brighton and Bolton all sit joint bottom of the table on four points with Bolton having the worst goal difference.
