Hugo Lloris - 9/10
His side's standout performer once again. Spurs could well have lost this game, conceding a few. But Lloris stood firm and produced another memorable performance. His reflexes are second to none and he was only beaten by a Demba Ba penalty, having made several superb saves.
Ben Davies - 6/10
An off-day, really, for the Welshman, who looked okay going forward but was booked and was shaky in defence - his primary job, after all.
Vlad Chiriches - 4/10
One of three Tottenham defenders to be booked on the night, the Romanian did not look comfortable, with Besiktas fashioning chance after chance. Gave away the crucial penalty with a late handball after initially mis-kicking his clearance.
Federico Fazio - 7/10
Completes the trio of defenders to be booked, the summer signing is yet to fully settle in north London. But Fazio was the best Spurs defender on the pitch.
Eric Dier - 6/10
Not a natural right-back but played there game after game by boss Mauricio Pochettino. Besiktas were in control throughout and none of the Spurs defenders looked like they could stop them except Fazio. Although the fact that they didn't lose is credit to their resilience.
Nabil Bentaleb - 6.5/10
Provided the assist for Harry Kane's goal by making a good, simple pass to the striker when he was in space. All too often, however, Bentaleb was sloppy and gave the ball away.
Benjamin Stambouli - 7/10
Looked solid in midfield before being replaced by Mousa Dembele after 65 minutes.
Paulinho - 5/10
Did very little and was replaced by Aaron Lennon after an hour.
Andros Townsend - 6/10
A typical Townsend display. The winger was lively, linked up well with team-mates and got into great positions. But to what avail? Townsend's final product didn't create too much of note and it is no wonder people are questioning his latest England call-up - no matter how much of a fan Tim Sherwood is of his.
Harry Kane - 8/10
Easily Tottenham's biggest attacking threat. Kane is clearly the man for the Europa League and scored a fine goal, unleashing a low shot from distance into the far corner after taking a great first touch. Can the striker now deliver a similar performance in the Premier League?
Roberto Soldado - 6/10
Anonymous once again. Many have recently asked what has happened to Soldado and it seems his Spurs career is similar to Torres' spell at Chelsea. The Spaniard simply isn't the same player anymore and it's a downright shame.
Aaron Lennon - 6/10
Was an upgrade on Paulinho - but most people are.
Mousa Dembele - 6/10
Replaced Stambouli after 65 minutes but can't be said to have made a definitive impact and looked nervous when he could have taken a shot at goal towards the end of the game.
Emmanuel Adebayor - 5/10
Came on with 11 minutes to go but did very little.
