Harry Redknapp's problem is that he is like Arsene Wenger - Merson

Former Arsenal star has implied that there is no stability at Queens Park Rangers and they will lose to West Ham United.

Paul Merson is predicting a comfortable 3-0 victory for West Ham United when Sam Allardyce's Hammers take on Queens Park Rangers at the Boleyn Ground on Sunday afternoon.

QPR are currently embroiled in a relegation battle already having picked up just four points from six games, with 13 goals already conceded - the worst out of all 20 Premier League participants. And Merson believes West Ham can make their problems far worse.

He told Sky Sports: "QPR are in a bad way at the moment and are struggling in every game."

Identifying the root cause of Rangers's woes, Merson likened manager Harry Redknapp's situation to Arsene Wenger at Arsenal.

"Redknapp keeps changing his tactics and after six games I’m not sure he knows what his best team is (a bit like Wenger).

"West Ham were outstanding in their last home game and did well against Man United last week, especially at the end when they went for it against ten men.

"If they get anywhere near the level they reached against Liverpool then I can’t see how QPR will get anything."

The West Londoners typically fare badly in London derbies as they have returned just two points from a possible ten in their last five bouts against London opposition - and have lost their last three in a row.

QPR also suffer from travel sickness as they have collected just two wins from their last 35 Premier League games on the road.
