PHOTOS: £27.5m man returns to Manchester United training ahead of Everton clash

Marouane Fellaini

Marouane Fellaini has returned to training with the first team ahead of his side's clash with former club Everton.

So the hair is back. And so too the man that comes with it.

Yes, Marouane Fellaini has finally returned to Manchester United first-team training to provide a timely boost ahead of Sunday's Premier League clash with the Belgian's former side Everton.

The £27.5 million man has been injured since the World Cup but was pictured in training today, alongside the usual United names, as the squad prepare to try and make it three wins out of four in the league. It is amazing to think the above photo (including Fellaini and Angel Di Maria) represents almost £100m worth of talent (and that's excluding Wayne Rooney and Michael Carrick in the background)...

Roberto Martinez's side, meanwhile, have struggled so far this season and will be balancing the demands of domestic and European football after their Europa League trip to Russia on Thursday.

What better opportunity for Louis van Gaal's side, then, to register back-to-back Premier League victories for the first time this season. Will Fellaini aid them in their endeavours? Will Juan Mata replace the suspended Rooney? Will Van Gaal be able to field a back four that doesn't include academy players?

There are some exciting questions to be answered... but, for now, enjoy the best pictures from training on Thursday!
