There is no doubt that Chelsea striker Diego Costa has been one of the best signings of the summer so far. The £32 million arrival from Atletico Madrid has scored seven goals for the club since his summer arrival and has Premier League defences quaking in their boots.
This weekend it is Arsenal who must discover a way to deal with the Spanish international, although there have been fears he might miss the game.
Costa comes with undoubted baggage. The striker has a niggling hamstring problem from the end of last season that continues to plague him.
That problem has seen a row erupt between Chelsea and his national team over whether he should play in their upcoming internationals. Costa says he is fit to play for both club and country. Judging by pictures today he certainly looks ready to jump into action.
He was snapped at the Chelsea training ground 'shooting some hoops' this afternoon. Basketball is popular among many of the players at the club - with Thibaut Courtois and Loic Remy also known to enjoy playing a bit of ball when they can.
And looking like the picture it looks like Costa's lay-up was heading for the net. Of course it was.
