Leeds boss Darko Milanic says he was not happy with the result, but he was satisfied - and the owner understands.
Leeds United boss Darko Milanic would have liked nothing more than to get his tenure at the club off to a kick-start against Reading, but saw his side held to a 0-0 draw.
The club managed only one shot on target from 16 attempts, and Milanic lambasted their lack of quality in the final third.
He told Leeds United TV: "It was an extremely different game, it was open. A draw is ok for both, we don't deserve more. They played a good game.
"I'm not happy but I'm satisfied. One point is OK.
"We had a lot of possibilities to be dangerous but in last third we were not good."
As well as praising substitute Billy Sharp for almost breaking the deadlock, Milanic revealed that he had spoken with owner Massimo Cellino after the game, and he shared the same view on the result.
"He thinks also one point is OK."
Leeds will hope to secure a better result at the weekend against Sheffield Wednesday at Elland Road, with Milanic adding:
"I think we will have a another difficult game but different."
