Leeds United were held to a 0-0 draw against Reading in the Championship last night.
Leeds United secured their first point under Darko Milanic with a 0-0 draw at home against Reading.
It won’t be the result that the boss or fans would have been hoping for but it’s progress following the disappointing defeat and performance away at Brentford last weekend.
Leeds can still move up towards the play-off places in the Championship quickly and carry a little momentum into the game against Sheffield Wednesday this weekend, where the side will be well backed in an intense local derby.
Milanic said when he was unveiled as the next Leeds boss last week that it would take time for him to get to know his squad and for the side to start playing under the style he wants to implement.
It’s been frustrating for Leeds fans because the back-to-back games against Brentford and Reading have seen results and football, which hasn’t been as productive or as entertaining as when Neil Redfearn was in temporary charge of the side.
However, it’s still very early on in a season which is going to test Leeds fully as they aim to get back into the Premier League after a very long absence.
