Chelsea splashed out around £100m on new signings this summer, as Jose Mourinho looked to improve on last season's third place finish. Filipe Luis, Cesc Fabregas, Diego Costa, Didier Drogba and Loic Remy all arrived at Stamford Bridge - and so far, it's been money well spent.
Luis, Drogba and Remy may not have been key figures just yet, but they've added depth to the squad which wasn't there last season, whilst Fabregas has taken to life back in the Premier League very well, leading the league with six assists in as many games.
Yet there can be no doubting who the star of the show has been; Diego Costa. The Spanish international signed for the Blues for £32m from Atletico Madrid after hitting 36 goals in all competitions for Diego Simeone's men, and he's continued to find the back of the net for Chelsea.
Eight goals in his first six Premier League games is a record setting pace for the Brazilian-born hitman, and he's been rewarded for that incredible start to life at Stamford Bridge with the PFA Fan Player of the Month award for September - a month in which he bagged a hat-trick against Swansea and the second goal in Chelsea's 3-0 win over Aston Villa.
The record means that Costa has scored four goals in every three games for Chelsea, and he will be looking to continue that form into October - which starts with a home game against Arsenal. Chelsea put six goals past their London rivals in the corresponding fixture last season, and if Mourinho's men can open up the Gunners defense as regularly as they did that day, then Costa figures to be on the end of a number of chances.
After his unbelievable start to the season, many will be wondering whether anybody can stop Costa - and now it's Arsenal's turn to try to keep him quiet.
