Arsenal star Calum Chambers has sung the praises of new team-mate Danny Welbeck after the striker scored his first ever professional hat-trick in the Gunners' 4-1 demolition of Galatasaray last night.
Speaking of the former Manchester United player, he said: “He’s an athlete – he’s got pace, power, he’s great on the ball.
“He’s willing to work hard and you can see that he’s a goal-scorer.
“He’s everything that you can ask for really. He works hard and he’s a great influence [on the team].
The youngster went on the admit that it is the welcoming nature of all the Arsenal players and staff that have made it easy for himself and Welbeck to settle in at their new club.
He added: “[Danny] has settled in really well. When I first came, I said that the bunch of lads and the staff here were so welcoming. It’s hard not to really settle in quickly!"
Since his £16 million move from Southampton during the summer, Chambers himself has made a very promising start to his career with the Gunners.
The 19-year-old has already established himself as an important first team players and has featured seven times in all competitions so far this season.
Chambers' early form also got him a call-up to the senior England squad for the Euro 2016 qualifier against Norway last month. He made his debut in the 1-0 coming on to replace John Stones for the last nine minutes of the match.
