Arsenal's star summer signing scored again, but Alexis Sanchez's impressive night came at a cost.
The Chilean international was hacked down by Galatasaray midfielder Felipe Melo in the first half, a challenge the Brazilian was lucky not to receive a red card for.
Sanchez went on to score minutes later, although after being substituted in the second half he retreated to the bench, and was seen, worryingly, with an ice pack on his foot.
Given that he was able to play on, there is not necessarily a worry he will miss the crucial Premier League match with Chelsea on Sunday, but it is worth monitoring over the course of the week.
Arsene Wenger said after the game that it was one of Sanchez's best performances for the club, although acknowledged him giving the ball away in the lead up to Galatasaray winning their penalty.
Wenger told a press conference after the game: "I had to take him off to be a bit more defensive but he looks alright."
