Newcastle defender impressed against Manchester City.
Yanga-Mbiwa was loaned in late August to Roma, and was making his fourth appearance for the club.
He had a comfortable game in the 1-1 draw at The Etihad, and had fans wondering why he was loaned in the first place, or why the management were not able to get better out of him.

Yanga-Mbiwa was playing at centre-back, alongside Kostas Manolas, in a new look backline with Mehdi Benatia sold to Bayern Munich over the summer.
While the Frenchman plays Champions League football, Newcastle sit 19th in the Premier League table, with no wins in their opening six games.
He made 17 Premier League starts for Newcastle last season.
Here's a look at how Newcastle fans reacted to his performance...
Surely a tinge of regret seeing Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa playing so well in UCL, didn’t click on Tyneside but he’s unlikely to be back #nufc— Peter Swallow (@CCfooty) September 30, 2014
So that yanga-mbiwa that played in the champions league tonight...not the same one that couldn't dislodge mike Williamson #nufc Oh..— Ben Osborn (@benosborn17) September 30, 2014
Yanga-Mbiwa looked ok tonight but was well protected by Romas hard working midfield. #nufc— Southern Softie (@SSoftie) September 30, 2014
How yanga mbiwa didn't get a run of games at centre half beats me, doesn't look out of place here vs city #nufc— AnthonyDixon (@adixon6) September 30, 2014
Think a lot of our fans are getting carried away about Mbiwa. Yes, he's playing in a top side, but no, he wasn't that good. #nufc— Steve Wallwork (@stevewallwork) September 30, 2014
